Asia Cup 2025: Team India has been announced for Asia Cup 2025, and Suryakumar Yadav is going to captain this team. Shubman Gill has been made the T20 vice-captain of Team India. Let us tell you that he was out of India's T20 team for some time, but now he has returned as the vice-captain, and he is going to be seen playing in the Asia Cup.

Chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Suryakumar Yadav announced Team India through a press conference at the headquarters of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in Mumbai. Some players in this team have been disappointed and have not gotten a place in the team. This includes the names of players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, and Ravi Bishnoi.

Suryakumar Leads, Gill Assists

Suryakumar Yadav has been made the captain of Team India for the Asia Cup. While young batsman Shubman Gill, who performed brilliantly in the Test series against England, has been made the vice-captain of the team. Gill is the captain of the Test team and the vice-captain in ODIs, and now he has been given the responsibility of vice-captaincy in T20 as well.

Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma have been included in the team as wicketkeeper-batsmen. Apart from this, Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Varun Chakraborty have been given a chance as spinners. Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, and Jaspreet Bumrah have been included in fast bowling.

Surya has a challenge to choose the opener

Team India has three players as openers, which include the names of Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, and Sanju Samson. In such a situation, it has to be seen which of these three players is going to start the innings for the team.
